I've just returned from Georgia after Frank's 4 day pass. We traveled over an hour to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina to relax and get away from the military area of Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Georgia. This was an interesting week that marked many firsts for Team McKeon: my first bout of food poisoning, our first time golfing together, our first homemade fondue night, and our first deployment together of course. The week was filled with lots of great activities and sweet moments for us to try to remember over the next year. We walked the beach, got a couple's massage, saw a couple of movies, had fondue night (twice!), went out to a nice dinner, and played both regular and miniature golf to name a few activities. Here are several pictures from our week together!
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina is known for its' many amazing golf courses. We decided to give it a shot and discovered a new activity we both really enjoyed! We're going to take it up together when he gets home next year.
Fondue night was great! We had so much food we had a "part deux" the next night. The dinner had everything that The Melting Pot restaurant has including a shrimp cocktail appetizer, a cheese course, a broth course and finally a really yummy chocolate fondue dessert. It was a lot of fun!
Check out more pictures of our special time together in the slideshow to the right!
